President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) conveyed three directions regarding the handling of the case of the death of Brigadier Nofriansyah Yosua Hutabarat alias Brigadier Yosua at the house of the inactive Head of the Propam Division, Inspector General Ferdy Sambo.
President Jokowi wants the handling of this case to be opened transparently. Jokowi also asked the Police to thoroughly investigate this case.
"I have told you, investigate thoroughly. Open it as it is. Don't cover up anything. It's transparent. It's done," said Jokowi at the Rinca Island Tourism Object, as reported by the Presidential Secretariat YouTube, Thursday (21/7/2022).
The two points, according to the President, are the most important things so that the public does not doubt the Police in responding to this case.
Jokowi added that handling cases openly and thoroughly can also be an answer to maintain public trust in the Police.
Therefore, the third point that Jokowi emphasized was the matter of maintaining trust in the Polri institution.
"It is important that the public has no doubts about the events that have occurred. This must be maintained, the public's trust in the Police must be maintained," added Jokowi.
