This is the Reason Why the One-way System is Applied when Going Home on the Island of Java

23 million four-wheeled vehicles will enter toll roads. This condition will make the vehicles on the toll road unable to move.

The Head of the Traffic Corps of the Police (Kakorlantas) Firman Santyabudi revealed a number of reasons for implementing the one-way and odd-even system for the homecoming and return traffic for the 2022 Eid Eid al-Fitr transportation on the island of Java.

Firman predicts that as many as 23 million four-wheeled vehicles will be used during this year's homecoming period on toll roads. This condition makes the ratio of the number of vehicles at 1.8. This means, he said, the vehicle is in a state of immobility.

"It must be attempted when the road capacity is insufficient to accommodate the number of vehicles that pass, the ratio must be below one," said Firman Thursday (22/4/2022).

Firman explained the efforts that would be made to overcome this, namely the odd-even system and the one-way system carried out simultaneously. The policy is planned to take effect from April 28 to May 1, 2022.

On Thursday (28/4/2022) starting at 17.00 WIB to 24.00 WIB, an odd-even and one-way system will apply, starting from kilometer 47 of the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road (Cikampek direction) to kilometer 414 of the Kalikangkung Toll Gate. Then on Friday (29/4/2022) at 07.00 WIB to 24.00 WIB starting from kilometer 47 of the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road to kilometer 414.

Then on Saturday (30/4/2022), the traffic engineering will be implemented from 07.00 WIB to 24.00 WIB starting from kilometer 47 to kilometer 414. Next on Sunday (1/5/2022) pepper will be carried out at 07.00 WIB until 12.00 WIB starting from kilometer 47 to kilometer 414. (antara)
