Minister of Finance Ensures Indonesia's Chances of Entering an Economic Recession are Very Small

The Indonesian economy remains strong in the midst of various global pressures caused by the synergy of fiscal and monetary policies to real.

Finance Minister Sri Mulyani attended a public lecture at the University of Indonesia on Monday (8/8). Sri Mulyani said Indonesia is one of the countries whose economy is recovering quickly.

The Indonesian economy since the beginning of the year has remained above 5 percent. In the first quarter it was 5.01 percent and in the second quarter it was 5.4 percent

"This makes Indonesia a country with a very small recession," said Sri Mulyani.

The Minister of Finance said that Indonesia's economic resilience is even better than developed countries in the world such as the United States (US), which has technically entered a recession.

Sri Mulyani added that the Indonesian economy remained strong in the midst of various global pressures caused by the synergy of fiscal and monetary policies to real.

Fiscal policy is carried out by making the APBN as a cushion when shocks or crises occur, ranging from energy, food to finance. This policy even prevented Indonesia's inflation from soaring as high as other countries. (antara)
