Komnas HAM asks 31 police officers who violate the code of ethics in the case of Brigadier Joshua to be punished
The 31 police officers involved in the case of Brigadier Joshua's death have strong indications of obstruction of justice.
The Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo said the Special Inspectorate (Itsus) was still investigating violations of the code of ethics in handling the case of the death of Brigadier Joshua.
Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo said there were 31 people who had been proven to have violated ethics.
Komnas HAM commissioner Choirul Anam said the 31 police officers involved in the case of Brigadier Joshua's death had strong indications of obstruction of justice. Anam thinks there needs to be a criminal law for the 31 police officers.
"We are simple, if we have found strong indications of obstruction of justice, these people, this, this, yes, we also ask whoever did it, the obstruction of justice is in the context of human rights, if that quality is violating or entering criminal law, right? we ask to be punished, it is not enough with a code of ethics," Choirul Anam told reporters, Thursday (11/8/2022)
"If the explanation is related to the crime scene, yes, in the context of Komnas HAM, obstruction of justice could mean the same thing as the police, the team of Komnas HAM on obstruction of justice," he said. (komnasham, detik)
