Komodo Island Ticket Increase of IDR3.75 Million Delayed, This is the Applicable Entrance Ticket Price
The East Nusa Tenggara Provincial Government has officially postponed the increase in the Komodo National Park entrance fee of Rp3.75 million until January 1, 2023.
Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno said the East Nusa Tenggara Provincial Government has officially postponed the imposition of a tariff of IDR 3.75 million per person per year to Komodo and Padar Islands until the end of 2022.
Sandiaga said the tariff that was valid for one year would only be effective as of January 1, 2023.
"The postponement of the increase in Komodo National Park entrance tickets, as announced by the provincial government, means that this has accommodated the aspirations of the public that there is a new tariff dispensation [for the island of] Padar Komodo, this is postponed until the end of 2022, so it will only take effect January 1, 2023," said Sandi in the Ministry of Tourism's Weekly Press Briefing, Monday (8/8/2022).
With the postponement of the tariff increase, domestic and foreign tourists who will visit Komodo Island and Padar Island will still apply the old tariff. The public can still visit Komodo National Park in East Nusa Tenggara at a price of IDR 5,000 per person for Indonesian citizens.
Based on information from the Komodo National Park's official website, the entrance ticket for Indonesian citizens from Monday to Saturday is IDR 5,000 per person per day, for Sundays and national holidays IDR 7,500 / person / day.
The entrance ticket price for foreign tourists is IDR 150,000 per person per day (Monday-Saturday) or IDR 225,000 for Sundays and national holidays.
Later, at the beginning of next year, the entrance ticket price for Padar Island and Komodo Island will change to Rp3.75 million which is valid for one person for one year. (Kemenparekraf, bisnis)
